Youth Engagement Program at Engineers Without Borders (EWB) Canada. (More information on the organization available on www.ewb.ca.)
Each year, our program runs a contest called Get Outside Your World for students grades 9-12. To date, over 1400 students have entered the contest, and this year, we’re asking that the students follow three simple steps to enter:
1. Think about your answer to the question “What’s Canada’s role in the world, and what’s my role in making that happen?”
2. Tell your Member of Parliament your answer (bonus points for a creative delivery!)
3. Tell us about it by filling out the application form on the contest website: www.youth.ewb.ca/contest.
One winner from grade 12 will receive an $1000 untied scholarship, and the winner from grades 9-11 wins a $500 prize. On top of this, both winners will be flown to EWB’s National Conference 2013 in Calgary, Alberta, where they will collaborate with our team to deliver a workshop to over 700 University Students, engineering professionals, and international development experts in our network!
